Irish post-punk outfit SPRINTS have signed to Sub Pop. Their second album, All That Is, lands 26 September — out via Sub Pop in North America and City Slang elsewhere.
The record was produced by Gilla Band’s Daniel Fox and shaped during a turbulent time. “There was just so much going on,” says frontwoman Karla Chubb. “A big break-up, someone leaving the band, a new relationship, and everything outside felt grim. I wrote constantly just to keep up.”
First single “Descartes” is out now — a sharp, snarling track inspired by a line from Rachel Cusk’s Outline: “Vanity is the curse of our culture.” Karla explains: “It’s about how ego drives so much of the ugliness we see. Writing helps me make sense of it.”
